Free transit, real BGP: how the free tier works

Transit Free is $0 per month. It includes 1 Gbps of IP transit, one BGP session, IPv6, and a community routing policy.

BGP is on every plan, including this one. You keep control of your announcements, on IPv4 and IPv6, with communities if you need them. The session example published on the site uses a documentation address.

The published answer to “what's the catch” is that there isn't a hidden one. Bandwidth is capped. If you outgrow the cap, you upgrade. That is the model.

Paid plans are separate products. Transit 1G is $29 per month: 1 Gbps, four BGP sessions, IPv4 and IPv6, and upstream DDoS protection. Transit 10G is $199 per month: 10 Gbps, unlimited BGP sessions, IPv4 and IPv6, and upstream DDoS protection.

There is no setup fee, no contract, and no minimum term. A paid plan can be refunded on the first payment inside 48 hours, with no questions asked. The free tier is instant. Paid tiers are usually provisioned in under two hours.
